Havva Alp was born on 22 December 1962 in the Baklan district of Denizli, Turkey. After completing her secondary education in Denizli, she graduated from Ankara University's Faculty of Communication, Department of Journalism and Public Relations.
In 1988, she married İsmail Alp. A year later, in 1989, their son Özgür Alp was born.
For many years she worked at numerous regional and national media organisations in Ankara and Denizli. In 2001 she took part in the founding of Horoz Gazetesi (Horoz Newspaper) in Denizli. Over the years, the company expanded into radio, printing and daily newspapers, evolving into Horoz Media, where she served as head of the advertising department. After years of tireless work in the media world, she retired in 2012.
During her retirement she devoted herself to agriculture. She carried out work on clean food and sustainable farming, taking a special interest in viticulture, karakılçık wheat and almond cultivation. By growing natural produce from heirloom seeds, she became an inspiration to those around her.
Her first and only grandchild, Nil Asya Alp, was born on 3 December 2024.
Havva Alp passed away on 21 October 2025 from a sudden heart attack while travelling with her family in Spain. She left behind the traces of a life full of love and a deep imprint on the hearts of everyone who knew her.
